Elgato adds accessories to its HomeKit lineup.
As CES last week, Elgato showcased some impressive new products that join its HomeKit accessories line up. These products included a smart light switch and a device that can track energy consumption.
Eve Energy
Eve Energy is a device that you put between your outlet and your plugged-in device. It tracks energy consumption by taking a tally every ten minutes and sending that information into the Elgato app. It allows the user to see how much energy is being used on that outlet.
Eve Weather
Eve’s very own weather station gives users the outside temperature as well as humidity and air pressure. All this information is also sent to your iPhone or iPad. It is powered by replaceable batteries.
Eve Room
Similar to the Eve Weather, is an indoor weather station of sorts. You can know the room’s temperature and measure humidity and even air quality. Eve Room is also battery-powered.
Eve Door & Window
This sensor allows you to know when a door or window is opened or closed. It provides you with alerts if one is left open for a certain amount of time. It’s not considered a security device, but rather a way to target where you are losing heat or cool air. The sensor does not sound an alarm when a door is opened, only sends a notification when it’s been left open.
The product lineup pricing starts at $29 and will be available later in 2016.
