ArmorPro Case built with Kevlar® 600D for iPad
The Benks ArmorPro combines lightweight Kevlar construction, everyday protection, and seamless Apple Pencil support while preserving the sleek feel of the iPad Pro.
Founded in 2008, Benks is a tech accessory manufacturer based in Shenzhen, China. The company specializes in high-end cases, chargers, and screen protectors, with a particular focus on lightweight aramid fiber designs that offer protection without adding unnecessary bulk. Benks has become well known among Apple enthusiasts for producing minimalist accessories that emphasize both durability and clean aesthetics.
Features
The Benks ArmorPro Case is constructed from 600D DuPont™ Kevlar® fiber, a material known for its impressive strength-to-weight ratio. This allows the case to remain incredibly thin and lightweight while still providing excellent durability and a refined look. Around the edges, Benks uses a flexible TPU bumper to help absorb impacts from everyday drops and bumps, adding protection where it’s needed most without making the case feel bulky.
The case also includes a raised Camera Guard design to help protect the iPad Pro’s rear camera module from scratches when placed on flat surfaces. Along the side, a dedicated magnetic charging slot securely holds and wirelessly charges the Apple Pencil, ensuring it’s always attached and ready to use. Together, these features make the case feel well thought out and practical for everyday use.
Unboxing and First Impressions
My first impression of the Benks iPad Pro Case was that it immediately felt more high-end than the average tablet case. The packaging was clean and minimalist, setting the tone for a quality product. Once I took the case out of the box, the first thing I noticed was its unique woven Kevlar texture. It has a smooth yet slightly grippy feel that stands out from traditional plastic or silicone cases, giving it a distinctive look without adding unnecessary weight.
One thing I did notice right away, however, is that the woven finish attracts fingerprints quite easily. While they don’t take away from the overall quality of the case, they are noticeable under certain lighting and may require an occasional wipe to keep the case looking its best. Even so, my initial impression was incredibly positive. The combination of the slim design, quality materials, and lightweight construction made it feel like a great match for the iPad Pro.
Overall Use
After spending some time with the Benks ArmorPro Case, I’ve come away impressed by just how thin and lightweight it is. Even with the added protection, it keeps the iPad Pro feeling almost as slim as it does without a case, making it comfortable to hold for extended periods and easy to slide into a backpack or laptop sleeve. The precision cutouts are spot-on, all of the buttons remain easy to press, and the Apple Pencil magnetically attaches and charges without any issues.
The Kevlar construction gives the case a unique feel that’s different from the typical silicone or plastic options on the market. It feels solid in the hand while offering just enough grip to make the iPad feel secure during everyday use.
My biggest complaint is that the finish is definitely a fingerprint magnet. Oils from your hands show up fairly quickly, especially under bright lighting, so if you like your devices looking spotless, you’ll probably find yourself wiping the case down from time to time. Fortunately, the fingerprints are purely cosmetic and don’t affect the feel or functionality of the case.
Aside from that minor complaint, I’ve really enjoyed using the ArmorPro Case. It offers dependable everyday protection without taking away from what makes the iPad Pro such a great device in the first place its thin design and comfortable feel.
Conclusion
After using the Benks ArmorPro Case, it’s clear the company focused on preserving the look and feel of the iPad Pro instead of covering it with a bulky layer of protection. The Kevlar construction, thoughtful design, and lightweight build make it easy to forget there’s even a case installed.
The fingerprint-prone finish is the only drawback I consistently noticed, but it’s a small trade-off for everything else the case gets right. If you’re looking for an iPad Pro case that provides everyday protection while maintaining the tablet’s sleek design, the Benks ArmorPro Case is an easy recommendation.
