I’m a big fan of Call of Duty: Mobile and in the past couple of years, I’ve explored different ways to enjoy the game. I’ve played it on my iPhone with and without a controller, I’ve played it on my iPad with an Xbox controller connected, and I’ve even used the approved PC Emulator, GameLoop. Because the game is designed to be mobile, I’ve found it runs best on the iPhone, but because of some vision restrictions, the small screen makes it hard for me to enjoy the game. Fortunately, the Arzopa Z1FC 16.1″ portable gaming monitor exists for purposes just like this.

User Experience
The Arzopa monitor comes in a simple box with the ‘Arzopa’ logo/brand on the front of it. The model number is listed on the back, but there is no image of the product anywhere on the package. In my opinion, this type of packaging is pretty generic. I prefer to see the product identified more — especially when it appears on a retail shelf. That said, the box was sturdy and there was some decent foam padding and plastic insert that helps keep the cables separate from the monitor.
One of the first things I noticed was how lightweight the monitor is. I’ve used several different styles of portable monitors like this and all of them were heavier than this one. The next thing I took note of was the kickstand. This monitor has a built-in kickstand on the back that snaps into the back when not in use. This is incredibly convenient because it makes traveling with it much easier. One thing that is not included though is a travel case or sleeve. While this monitor is the same size as a laptop and could easily fit into a laptop bag or sleeve, I’ve gotten used to seeing something included specifically for the monitor.
The Arzopa Z1FC 16.1″ portable monitor was easy to use and I was happy to see that all the required cables were included. A power supply/wall adapter was not, but in some cases, it wasn’t even needed. I tested this monitor out in a variety of ways including:
- iPhone 14 Pro → with Lightning to HDMI adapter. Only worked in portrait mode. Needed external power source. The phone charged while connected to the monitor. Had to have the HDMI cable and the Lightning to USB-C cable connected.
- iPhone 15 Pro Max → with USB-C cable. It showed portrait mode for the menu screens, but if media was playing, it would show in Landscape mode. Needed external power source.
- iPad Pro 12-inch → with USB-C cable. Worked just like any external monitor. Needed external power source.
- MacBook Pro → with USB-C cable. Worked just like any external monitor. Did not need an additional power source.
The image quality was very good. It is a 1080P monitor, but I thought the picture quality looked better than some other 1080P monitors. I was happy to see that the image would go full screen when connected to a video source via USB-C but was a little disappointed that other inputs — such as the Lightning to HDMI adapter for the iPhone 14 Pro — did not work the same way. The monitor made it easier for me to play games with my friends while I was remote in Chicago and at home, it’s given me an easy option for a second screen when I need it.
