Armor Case for iPhone 6 Plus Review:
a very nice, affordable option for a secure, low-profile case.
I consider cases for mobile phones to be somewhat of an insurance policy. You see, if you spend an average of $500 or more on a mobile phone every couple of years, you want to ensure that it’s safe and well-protected. Even though they are made out of the best state of the art materials, nothing is 100% safe and can be susceptible to scratches, dents and wear. That’s why I have relied on cases, even simple bumper cases, to keep my mobile phones preserved. I don’t like to use cases that take away from the design of the phone, so I usually look for minimalistic cases and ones that don’t add a whole lot of bulk. One such case is the Armor Case for the iPhone 6 Plus from Lightning Knights.
The Armor Case from Lightning Knights is a full-body protective case that they classify as a hybrid. It is constructed of a polycarbonate hard shell and a flexible TPU inner core to provide a dual layer – or hybrid – of protection from drops and scratches. It is designed specifically for the iPhone 6 Plus with precise cuts so there is easy access to all ports, sensors, speakers and cameras. The Armor Case is shock absorbent, shatterproof and is made from an anti-scratch material.
When I first noticed that this case was dual-layer, I was a little concerned about how easy it would be to install on the phone. Surprisingly, it each piece of the case came apart easily and the iPhone 6 Plus fits comfortably inside it. Even though the case comes apart easily, it snaps into itself very securely and during testing, I didn’t have any doubt that the case would keep my phone safe.
There are two additional features with the Armor Case that I want to address – the built-in kickstand and the accompanying stylus. Lightning Knights includes a very nice stylus in the package that works incredibly well. And as an added bonus, the case has a built-in kickstand that allows you to use the landscape view of your iPhone 6 Plus for browsing, reading, gaming and watching videos. I was a little hesitant to use it at first because it seemed that it might fold back into the case, but I was incorrect on that assumption. After I installed the phone into the case, I set up the kickstand and was surprised to find that it was very sturdy and enjoyed using it.
I found the Armor Case for the iPhone 6 Plus to be a very nice, affordable option for a secure, low-profile case. If you are looking for a protective case with a little extra features, I would take a look at the Armor Case from Lightning Knights. It has an MSRP of $39.99, but is currently available for $9.99.
