Arcenet AL1000 10000 mAh Power Bank is a great dependable device.

This review is of the Arcenet AL 1000 Power Bank. It comes in a black box with white lettering. Upon opening the box, you have the Arcenet AL 1000, once you remove the power bank and the cardboard insert you will find the power cord and instruction booklet. It is a larger power bank and may be a bit cumbersome to carry in a purse but would fit perfectly in a back pack or pants pocket.

The instructions are easy to read and understand, they describe all details of the Arcenet AL 1000 power bank and describes the illuminated battery indicator. I found this to be a very unique feature that not only displays the battery charge but also its amp output. This is a 10000 mAh power bank that has two charging ports with a max output of 2.5amps. Some of the newer power banks are outputting at 3.1 amps. The power bank charges at 2 amps.

It allows you to charge two peripheral’s like two phones, a phone and a Kindle Reader, a Kindle 8 Fire HD and a Kindle Reader or even an iPad. You just have to make sure that the battery demand stays at or below 2.5 amps. The battery has built in features that allows it to charge your device at its maximum capacity but will only go up to 2.5 amps max. there is a button on the right side that you can press to check the status of the battery. The battery itself has a really nice feel to it and the black matte color will keep it from getting dirty. It is definitely a well-built unit.

I decided to run a few test to see how well the battery pack would handle what I would put on it.

Arcenet AL1000 10000 mAh Power Bank Review

My first test was to charge my iPhone 6s Plus which was at 21%, the power pack was at 100%. I timed it to see how long it would take to charge and it took 3 hours and the battery was at 62 %. The next test was to charge a Samsung S5 which was at 7% and the battery was at 62%, the phone was at full charge in 2 hours and the battery pack was at 28%. As a final test I tried my iPhone 6s Plus and an iPad 3 and it would charge the iPhone but not the iPad. I knew this was above the battery packs capacity but was curious as to the outcome. This was my first experience with a higher output battery pack and I was impressed, I would give it a 4.5 overall rating and would recommend it. I look so forward to seeing what the future holds in this technology.

As a final test of the Arcenet I decided to charge both my Kindle reader and Kindle Fire 8 HD to see what would happen and the battery pack is able to charge both at the same time. This is a device that I will carry with me where ever I go. It’s great to know that it’s a dependable device.
