Apple Keynote event scheduled for fall product announcements.
As is tradition for Apple, invitations are going out to selected personnel for the Fall product announcement Keynote event scheduled for September 7. This is the fifth year that Apple has held an event in early September. The heavily anticipated event will likely present us with a new iPhone. It’s been speculated that this new model will be similar to the iPhone 6s/6s Plus with some minor design differences – like the absence of a headphone jack. It’s also been rumored that the new model may be water resistant and Apple may do away with the 16GB entry model phone.
It’s also expected that the Apple Watch may receive an upgrade and many Apple enthusiasts are hoping that a MacBook Pro refresh and maybe an upgrade to the iPad will be announced although Apple has typically reserved those releases for a special October event in the past. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 7 at 10:00 a.m. PDT (12:00 p.m. EDT).
Requirements: Live streaming uses Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology. HLS requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Streaming via Apple TV requires an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) with software 6.2 or later or an Apple TV (4th generation).
We will be covering the event LIVE here on MacSources.com.
