New MacBook Pros coming in November 2018?
During the live Apple Event that just concluded less than an hour ago, Apple published a press release about their new MacBook Air and its full details. This was a piece of hardware that was focused on during the Special Event. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a good update for the MacBook Air and this was definitely a great spec bump. You can read about the event here. One thing that was not announced was a new MacBook Pro. Earlier this year, Apple released a 2018 model MacBook Pro with a moderate spec bump to the 2016 models, but some people fully expected MBP to make an appearance at this event. And in a way, it did.
Even though Apple did not ‘announce’ anything during the event, they did add the following information to their press release (published on apple.com/newsroom) about the MacBook Air.
Radeon Pro Vega Graphics Coming to MacBook Pro Next Month
Apple also today announced new MacBook Pro graphics options that will bring powerful Radeon Pro Vega graphics to MacBook Pro for the first time. These new graphics options deliver up to 60 percent faster graphics performance for the most demanding video editing, 3D design and rendering workloads.
This definitely makes it sound like Apple intends to release a new MacBook Pro model before the year’s end. There is even a release detail at the bottom of the PR stating: The new graphics configuration option for MacBook Pro will be available to order on apple.com and in Apple retail stores and through Apple Authorized Resellers starting Wednesday, November 14.
No other details are available at this time.
