Today the world is becoming more aware of the problems of environmental pollution. Many companies are moving towards sustainable production of various products and components. Tesla and other major automakers are suggesting that drivers ditch internal combustion vehicles in favor of fancy, low-polluting electric vehicles.

Apple is not going to fall behind in this matter. The company began to make laptops, smartphones, smartwatches, and other devices from recycled materials in full swing.

Few people know, but our iPhones are a storehouse of precious metals. In addition to lithium, cobalt, copper, tungsten, and other metals, gold and silver are also used in the manufacture of smartphones. If we take a closer look at our smartphone, we can find precious metals in the display, metal case, and printed circuit boards. Therefore, if you are interested in investing in precious metals, which can be purchased at the precious metals store, then remember that your iPhone is already a small investment.

The company claims that as early as last year, more than 15% of the materials used in the production of the device were recycled. Recycled materials include certified gold, tungsten, rare-earth elements, and cobalt. What’s more, there is now much less plastic used in packaging. In total, its number was reduced to 4%.

iPhone made from recycled materials

The grand plan is to become carbon-neutral within 8 years. If someone can boast of having an iPhone 13, then you should know that recycled materials have already been used in the production of this model. The packaging of these models, compared to the packaging of the 6 series models, contains 90% less plastic. Within a few years, every device sold will not have a damaging effect on the climate. In addition to devices, the company’s facilities located around the globe are already using clean energy to power.

Apple is proving in practice that they are making significant progress in terms of reducing its harmful impact on the climate. Soon, the company’s products will consist of recycled components, so nothing will be taken from the ground.

Other companies that use innovation and modern technologies to create high-quality products will take a cue from Apple. At the same time, not only young organizations that can start eco-friendly production from the start but also renowned technology companies from all over the world can be inspired by the example. Just like many giants of the auto industry were inspired by the ideas of Elon Musk.

The use of robots

Another issue that Apple has already begun to address quickly is that to reuse components, they must first be extracted. This is a difficult, painstaking, dangerous, and costly process.

To do this job, the company uses robots. Now 3 robots are registered, whose names are Daisy, Dave, and Taz. Each of them performs a specific task. The first disassembles smartphones, the second – engines, and the third extracts metals.

Everyone can contribute to a better future. If you have an old iPhone or any other Apple device that is no longer in working order or you have stopped using it, then you can hand it in for recycling. In the future, Apple will introduce even more innovative ideas for environmental protection.
