Handwriting recognition apps have come a long way since their first appearance into the app marketplace. I just stumbled across MyScript Calculator, which is a hand recognition calculator. If you scribble equations with your finger onto the screen, the app will translate it to text.
After using it for a little while and trying several different types of equations, I can say that it actually works. It’s a time saver to use your finger as opposed to flipping back and forth on the keyboard.
I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys using calculators on a regular basis on mobile devices. It’s available for iPhone and iPad and is being offered for free.
