IMG_0050IMDb has released a couple of new apps to make our movie/TV knowledge more useful. The first one is IMDb Trivia.

IMDb Trivia is a, you guessed it, trivia game based off of knowledge housed in the Internet Movie Database. It is, of course ad-supported and although it is free to download, it comes equipped with in-app purchases (TV Favorites and Blockbusters). One of the nice features of IMDb Trivia is that it connects with Game Center on the iPhone so you can challenge your friends to get a better score than you.

I love movie trivia and was excited to find this available in the app store. I was a bit disappointed that it was not optimized for iPhone 5, but I would look for that to happen in a near-future version. The game starts out with a 5 level theme, Sneak Peak, and makes you earn 50,000 points before unlocking the next level. I think that is annoying, but not hard to obtain – by the end of the second level, I was already at 11,000 points.

I recommend IMDb Trivia to any trivia fans or just fans of IMDb. Except for the ads at the bottom of the screen, it’s a clean app and fun to play.
