The Birds are back.
Have you missed the sound of birds screaming through the air right before destroying a fortress of thieving pigs? I know I have. Before Angry Birds, I was never been big on playing games on my iPhone. I typically use it for productivity type apps and work functions. But, when a fun little game took the world by storm in 2009, I was also hooked by it. Angry Birds is known for its addictive game play, humorous storytelling, and record-breaking sales. Since its original release six years ago, Angry Birds has spawned 11 additional spinoff games including today’s release, Angry Birds 2.
Even though there have been a slew of spin offs, there hasn’t been a true sequel until today’s release. Angry Birds is the most downloaded game of all time in party due to its historical low price. Angry Birds 2 is sure to break its own records since it’s being released as a free download with no ads.
I’ve been playing Angry Birds 2 for a little while now and it definitely reminds me of the first time I played Angry Birds years ago. I’ve instantly been hooked all over again. Even though it’s reminiscent of the original game, it also feels fresh and fun with new levels and what seems like easier control of your flying friends.
The graphics are beautiful and the animations are much more complex. There are some new options for gameplay such as the ability to switch characters on a level and the fact that each level seems to have two parts to it. Angry Birds 2 still has the same old charm as the original Angry Birds and I’m really looking forward to spending countless hours playing it.
