Analytiks brings your Google Analytics stats to your iOS device.

I love looking at statistics. I enjoy viewing trends and analyzing them against other market trends. Of course, one of the best measures of consumer focus ends up being visits to websites. You know that your users/customers are engaged and you can immediately change behaviors to enhance the user experience. One of the best tools for viewing web statistics is Google Analytics. This completely free service offered by Google, has been available since 2006 and it helps to measure a website’s traffic by generating detailed statistics. I’ve been using Google Analytics actively since I managed a nonprofit’s website in 2010. For quite some time, I’ve wanted to be able to view the analysis of the websites I work with from my iPhone. I’ve not found a suitable app for the process until now.

analytiks1Analytiks by Blatt Labs provides an efficient, clean layout for viewing your Google Analytics from the comfort of your iOS device. It’s currently on version 3.0.7 with its most recent update being on February 4, 2014. It’s fast and secure and supports multiple sites for your ease of use in reviewing your websites’ statistics. Some of the features included with Analytiks are:

  • Traffic from Google, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, etc.
  • Organic vs. general traffic
  • Top countries and top browsers
  • Desktop vs. mobile users
  • Multiple site support (up to 16)
  • Stats reminders
  • Referral sites
  • Time on site
  • iOS vs. Mobile
  • PC vs. Mac
  • Bounce rate
  • Top 5 keywords
  • Custom date range for info graphics

When I first started up the app, I entered my Google user information so that Analytiks could recognize what websites I have access to. Once Analytiks connected to my account, the two sites I currently follow loaded onto the screen. At the bottom of the screen, dots appear to indicate how many websites you are connected to. You can swipe screen-to-screen to switch between your sites. The last screen is a prompt to invite you to add 8 additional more spaces for only $0.99. You automatically have 8 sites with the app, but can add an additional 8 for a total of 16 with the in-app purchase.

analytiks2On the home screen of the web site data, you see your pageviews for the current day, where those views came from, how many views you have for the month, and then a graph that shows pageviews over time. One of the best features of this app is the info graphic option.

By simply tapping on the graph image in the upper right-hand corner, Analytiks will create a beautiful info graphic image that shows a multitude of statistics from the Google Analytics information. The app automatically presents the past 30 days worth of information, but you can also choose 3 months, 6 months or a custom date range for the generated info graphic.

One feature I would like to see added is the ability to look at a specific day. For example, I’d love to see statistics for a day when I know we had peak users connected to our site and compare that to the current day. That is currently not an option. You can only view the current, real-time stats. This is great for speed, but if I wanted to look up another day, I can’t.

Analytiks is a wonderful, clean app that allows you to keep up with your website’s real-time statistics generated from Google Analytics. I can highly recommend this app as it’s a great tool and a very efficient way to keep up with your viewers. It’s free to download from the app store.
