Surprisingly awesome earbuds.

I struggle a lot with earbuds. I like their versatility and portability, but I almost always hate the way the fit. The fit is everything when it comes to earbuds. If you don’t have the right fit the sound is hollow and they just aren’t comfortable. In fact, until now, I’ve only found one set of earbuds that work for me — the Apple AirPods. They slip into my ear canal easily and don’t cause any discomfort for me. Other earbuds, just based off of design, are uncomfortable and cause some actual pain when I wear them for any length of time. My opinion has drastically changed of earbuds now that I’ve tried Air 1S True Wireless Headphones by Crazybaby.

DETAILS

The Air 1S True Wireless Headphones are dubbed (by Crazybaby) the next generation of revolutionary wireless headphones. They are the first true wireless headphone to implement carbon nanotube technology, which should allow the earbuds to have a comfortable ergonomic design while sounding spectacular. They come in two different colors — white and black. Air by Crazybaby was built with a 5.2mm customized speaker driver with a carbon nanotube diaphragm and a powerful CSR chipset. The headphones utilize Bluetooth 4.2 and have an app that enhances your sound experience. They are rated IPX6 and considered waterproof.

USER EXPERIENCE

From the start, I was pleasantly surprised by the Air earbuds. They were easy to set-up (just press/hold the logo on the side of the earpiece for 2 seconds)and connect to my iPhone. I’ve never had any issues with them disconnecting from my phone and the sound quality has been amazing. One of the first things I did was to listen to some regular music. I was shocked at how well the sound came through. The earbuds fit so well that ambient noise was blocked out perfectly and music sounded like it should — rich and full. I listened to several different types of music including everything from heavy metal to soft, light instrumental. Everything sounded great. The earbuds have a great connection distance. Shortly after I connected the earbuds to my phone, I ventured outside our house. They didn’t lose a connection until I was actually in our backyard. I heard a descending beep, which indicated that the headphones disconnected and then when I got back within range of my phone, there was an ascending tone that indicated the headphones were reconnected and the music track automatically started playing again. This was truly impressive to me as I’ve never really had headphones do that before.

Next, I tested out the Air Headphones with some videos. Unfortunately, this test wasn’t as successful. With the earbuds already playing music from Pandora, I switched over to Netflix and turned on a TV series. The sound came through just fine, but it was out of sync with the video. Thinking it might be an issue with connection or localized to Netflix, I switched over to YouTube and had the same issue. I paused the video I was watching and swapped our the Air headphones for my Apple AirPods. The video/audio sync issue was no longer a problem. Everything looked and sounded great with the AirPods.

Aside from the sync issue with streaming videos, I really love these earbuds. They have a very unique charging case that is compact and can be taken anywhere. They are comfortable and seem to stay inside the ear well. Sound quality is way above average but since I have no clear indication about why the sync issue would be happening, I can’t recommend them for that purpose.

CONCLUSION

The Air 1S True Wireless Headphones by Crazybaby are very nice earbuds. Their price is in line with other earbuds with similar features. I’ve had the opportunity to use many different types of earbuds and was very impressed with the Air headphones out of the box. The experience fell flat for me when I couldn’t enjoy streaming videos because of the sync issue. I would still recommend these on the basis that they are great to workout with and listen to music through, which is their primary purpose.
