User Experience
This mini PC comes packaged with a user manual, mounting bracket, power adapter, power cable, and an HDMI cable. Getting started with it is very simple. You just plug it into power, a monitor, and connect a keyboard and mouse. Then, press the power button. You will taken through the standard set of Windows startup prompts and then you’ll want to make sure the system is up to date. Running the system updates is probably the part of the set up that takes the longest, but once that is complete you are ready to start working normally.
One of the things to remember about this computer is that it is essentially a laptop packaged in side a small case. It’s a system built for compact size and efficiency. And while it can handle light gaming, it’s not designed for advanced gaming activities. It is best used for basic users who need access to the Internet and email. It can also be used quite well for most types of homework and standard productivity tasks such as word processing and data entry. I did attempt playing a FPS on this mini PC and while it worked, the system lagged quite a bit and at times, the game was not playable.
One of the features that I really appreciate about this mini PC is that it isn’t bogged down with a bunch of branded bloatware. I recently set up a new Dell laptop and there were 10 Dell applications pre-loaded on that system. On the AM06 Pro, the only thing that was already loaded on the system was Windows 11 Pro and its necessary applications. This made the setup process a lot smoother than some other systems that have those branded applications included.
The mini PC is very quiet when it’s running. I never noticed it overheating and when the fans did kick on, the computer was quieter that my small desk fan. There weren’t many things that I didn’t like about this Mini PC. The power button is a bit sensitive and because of where it is located, you can find yourself accidentally shutting the computer off just by reaching for something. I did this a few times and it was very frustrating.
The other thing you don’t know is exactly what parts are included in the case — other than the processor. When I ran benchmark tests, I found out what the SSD was and then, I decided to open the case to see what the RAM was, too. The SSD is a brand called AirDisk and the RAM is Foresee. It is possible to replace either of these elements easily based on the build of the system and since it’s built with budget in mind, you could still improve the system without breaking the bank.

All in all the AM06 Pro mini PC offers a straightforward setup process and efficient performance ideal for basic computing tasks. While it may struggle with advanced gaming, its compact size and lack of bloatware make it a convenient option for users seeking simplicity and productivity.
