360º Vecto Mini Bluetooth speaker provides a full sound in a tiny package.
Music helps me think. Like many people, I think it helps to have some sort of background noise while working. This is why I have an older iPhone dock on my desk at work. It has the older Apple 30-pin connector in its dock tray so I cannot connect it to my newer iPhone 6. This has been a struggle since I acquired my iPhone 6, but I’ve just made due by using headphones. This can present its own set of problems while at work so I’m grateful for my new desk companion, the 360º Vecto Mini speaker by Veho.
This little wonder puts out an enormous sound. It’s sturdy and built to be rugged like its big brother the 360º Vecto. Vecto Mini is a water resistant Bluetooth speaker that travels quite easily. In fact, I carry mine in my purse and don’t worry about it being damaged or scratched up by anything else in my bag. It’s super lightweight and comes equipped with a small carabiner, which is great for using to hook onto backpacks or even keychains.
Even though I’ve used the 360º Vecto Mini primarily in my office setting, it does hold a waterproof rating of IP64, which ensures your speaker’s protection from dust ingress and multi-directional water spray. This makes the 360º Vecto Mini ideal for any number of adventures like rafting, visits to the water park or even just using around your family pool in the summer.
One of my concerns with Bluetooth devices is always its battery power. The 360º Vecto Mini has a 700 mAh battery, which is capable of 4 hours of continuous Bluetooth playback or 8 hours of line-in playback. As an added bonus, it only takes 90 minutes to fully charge it. If you are the traveling type, you will surely have a portable backup battery. Well, 360º Vecto Mini uses micro-USB to charge so you can easily recharge a drained speaker with any battery backup you may have with you.
360º Vecto Mini is equipped with Bluetooth 3.0 and has a 6 watt (2 x 3W) output. You can easily stream music through a Bluetooth connection or through a line-in (standard auxillary cable) plug on the back of the speaker. You also have track and volume control directly on the speaker itself.
During my testing of this powerful little speaker, I was most impressed with its ease of connectivity to my devices and the sound it puts out. I was afraid that with a speaker this small, it would end up sounding hollow and would miss the depth that I enjoy. 360º Vecto Mini did not fail me and puts out a wonderful full sound similar to what I experience with many headphones.
The design is functional and stylish. It’s bright orange so it’s hard to miss if you are looking for it. The ports on the back are enclosed with a small trap door that locks very tightly into place. Because it’s designed to be rugged and for the outdoors, this is a major benefit to the speaker because your ports are protected from any weather elements you encounter.
360º Vecto Mini comes ready to use out of the box. It comes with a USB charging cable, a line-in auxiliary cable and a carabiner. 360º Vecto Mini retails for $79.95.
