2.5-Inch SATA & SSD Hard Drive to USB 3.0 Adapter Review 3A few months ago a friends computers motherboard went bad. They went out and bought a new computer, but wanted all the information, photos, videos, documents, and notes off of there old computer. They asked the store to do it, but got the run around so I did it for them. I took the hard drive and placed it in an external drive enclosure and transferred there files to the new machine. I think the biggest pain of the whole process for me was taking their drive and putting it into the enclosure.

2.5-Inch SATA & SSD Hard Drive to USB 3.0 Adapter Review 5When testing it out, I grabbed a spare hard drive that was not in an enclosure and plugged it directly into my MacBook Pro. Data transferred back and forth with no problems and I didn’t have any issues with the hard drive randomly disconnecting. It worked flawlessly. With data transfer up to 5 Gbps, this gadget now has a permanent home in my toolkit.
